Ernie May Allore New Member Service Award The Ernie May Allore New Member Service Award is given to honor a member who within a short period of time, often in the first year, a behind scenes worker, who contributes to the success and smooth operation of the club in many different ways. Often it is a member who has put in many hours or weeks of service to the club without recognition. The winner is nominated in secrecy by the membership at large, and voted on by the general membership at the club holiday party in December. The nominee who receives the majority of votes is awarded the Ernie May Allore New Member Service Award at the annual banquet.
Daniel Wolgast
This year we honor Daniel Wolgast for the Ernie May Allore New Member Service Award. Dan has stepped forward to help the club to run smoothly from almost day one. We cannot thank him enough for his input and stepping forward to help with our puppy classes.
Golden Dumbbell
Given in the spirit of good sportsmanship, and to encourage all trainers to continue, whether their scores are high or low, this is awarded to the dog with the lowest single qualifying score in an AKC trial. As you can see with this year’s winner, these dogs also have many more achievements to their credit and will likely have more.
There were no qualifiers in 2015.
Highest Scoring Dumbbell Award
This is given to the dog with the highest single qualifying score in an AKC trial. This award was generously offered to the club in 1990 by Lillian Culp.
There were no qualifiers in 2015.
